it's been a while since an update so we though we'd post something to let you know we are still here! life has been very hectic of late for both of us with the day jobs and study taking their toll on free time. but we will prevail. we are spending every spare minute in the studio working on the new recording, and it's coming along very nicely indeed. new songs and some new toys are adding much excitement to the process this time around and we are busting to get it finished and released asap.

at the moment we have no shows booked until late september but keep an eye out for some dates for oct-nov..

well it's that time again.. can't believe it's christmas already! 2006 has been a hectic year and so at the moment we're taking our now customary break from it all to write, surf, skate, play cricket in the backyard and generally just do a whole lot of nothing in-between..

we'll begin work on a new recording in the second week of january and then get set to play live/tour again from feb. looking forward to it already..

it's time for the roy fest! this saturday the 7th of october at the rob roy in melbourne...



"You kinda get the impression these days that the diverse range of music styles in the local live scene is a natural phenomenon, stemming from both a rich musical heritage of those pioneering heroes that came before us and the unprecendented freedoms of the contemporary music listener. Melbourne, you could argue, has it all whatever your taste. But in this era of the 'regurgitated renaissance' where nine out of every ten new bands, it seems, is looking to the past for inspiration there is still a healthy population of bands (and venues) that are actively reaching for new ground for new sounds and Fitzroy often plays host to such acts. ROY FEST is a celebration of that mindset and on Saturday 7th October at The Rob Roy Hotel (cnr Brunswick And Gertrude Sts, Fitzroy) ten, yeah I repeat, TEN bands will be performing from 2pm right through til Midnight culminating in what's sure to be the most fascinating gig of the year. Patrons on the day will also receive a FREE 10-track cd containing a track from each band, though stock is limited so be sure to get there early."

have just uploaded some photos from our recent tour and a few other gigs from last year to our myspace page. we've also got the songs from our tour cd/demo up.. (it's kinda old now but it's better than nothing) our ep is being pressed this week and at the moment it looks like we'll be launching it in july. as soon as it's released we will put a preview up here for you to check out. soon after the launch we'll be hitting the road again. at the moment it's an east coast tour but you never now.. our last gig for a few weeks is tomorrow night then we have a short break while brad heads off for 3 weeks of surfing in bali. no holidays yet for me though :( but i only have a few weeks to go then we'll be getting back into the studio to demo some new sounds.. we played last night with ninetynine and light the night sky at the rob roy in melbourne. ninety nine played yet another cracking set and they have a new album coming out in a few months which will be well worth checking out.. ltns will be releasing something soon too i think?? anyways better back to the uploading the pics... a.

well now the ep is finished we finally have some time to venture back into the outside world.. and one of the things we've been meaning to do for a while now is get ourselves a myspace page. so now we finally have one :) we'll be posting some more stuff over the next few weeks up there so come visit us sometime:
